'Three Colours Red' Exhibition in Sheffield
11th June 2012
‘Three Colours Red’ is the latest exhibition to be hosted at The Circle.
Three artists - from France, Spain and the UK (Sheffield) - have been brought together to celebrate their varying artistic styles. Although each artist has a strong individual style, their use of line and bold vibrant colour creates an eye-catching collection of work.
Sheffield’s Derek McQueen, a graduate from the recently closed but rather famous (infamous) Psalter Lane campus, is exhibiting his most recent work - paintings on paper with a distinctly digital feel. Valentin Pedrosa from Granada has just recently started exhibiting internationally after several extremely successful exhibitions in Spain. His bold graphic paintings on canvas uses stark colour and content. Francis Berthault lives and works near the French Alps. His striking work was on show at Cupola recently, and many of his paintings clearly show his love for the mountains.
